A truly unique shade of purple that is redder than the typical purple Baptisia! Dense spikes of dark wine purple, pea-like flowers accented by contrasting golden yellow petals are produced over mounds of very blue-green foliage. Blooms late spring to early summer and can be used in place of a shrub in the landscape. Attractive round seed heads add beauty and interest to the fall and winter garden as well as food for birds. Easy to grow and will be extremely long lived with little maintenance.
