There are 3 types of Strawberries:

Everbearing: produces two crops a summer, one in the spring and one in late summer/fall. This one is very good to use in hanging baskets
June bearing: produces a large crop once a year, usually in June. Very good variety for freezing
Day Neutral: can produce Strawberries continuously throughout June through September
