Temperennials

Temperennials

The term “tender perennial” or “temperennial” refers to true perennials that are typically hardy in zones 7 or higher. In a nutshell, they are hardy in the south but will not overwinter outdoors in the north. The advantage of temperennials is that they offer new, low maintenance ways to add incredible long blooming color and foliage interest to containers and landscapes in colder climates. Unlike annuals, they can be taken indoors and given the proper care, will survive for years to come. Temperennials offer great flexibility in the production schedule for growers and a versatile plant for consumers so consider adding these varieties to your collection.
