Campanula (Bellflower)

A large genus of plants with a wide range of growth habits. Most are very floriferous and have bell-shaped flowers, blooming late spring into summer. Plants prefer sunny locations with well-drained soils.

Slightly acidic. 5.8-6.2
Fertility:
Light to moderate feeders. Apply constant liquid at each watering, or time-release can be applied.
Pests and Diseases:
Generally free of any serious problems. Routinely scout for aphids, root knot nematodes, slugs, spider mites, thrips and whitefly. Watch for signs of crown or root rot and botrytis. Also, aster yellows, powdery mildew, rust and verticillium wilt.

Average water needs. Allow them to dry slightly between watering.

Plugs should be at soil level, avoid planting too deep and burying crown.

Not generally required if receiving right amount of light and space.
