Growing Colors™ is continuing to offer many of the best shrub varieties available.  Nine varieties sourced from some of the best breeders in the industry via Concept Plants.  Most of our shrub liners will ship dormant and can be placed directly outside instead of taking up important greenhouse space during the springtime rush.  Shipped from Minnesota in our easy-to-handle plastic crates with no additional boxing charges.

  • Clethra - Summersweet

    Clethra shrubs are unusual in that they can not only tolerate full sun to full shade but wet soils as well.  The bottlebrush flowers are very fragrant and bloom on new wood so prune in spring if necessary. Rarely bothered by deer or rabbits.

    Summersweet is known for its fragrant white summer time flowers that attract butterflies, one of the few shrubs that can tolerate wet soils and shade, soils should not be allowed to dry out, great for areas next to ponds or streams.

  • Cornus - Dogwood

    Cornus are a North American native and are known for their springtime blossoms, showy bracts, berries and distiinctive bark that can range in color from green to yellow to orange and red.  Very hardy and adaptable, this shrub is easy to maintain and not fussy aout its growing conditions. The summer fruit is loved by birds and wildlife.
